The path to what many consider Carpi's most dramatic bathing institution begins at the Marina Piccola where a private boat shuttles guests to the epic restaurant and club. Some come in search of the sexy bathing scene while others, who are usually much more dressy, come in search of the legendary eatery that's benefiting from an upgrade and new chef for 2011. Da Luigi ai Faraglioni first opened in 1936 directly opposite the famous rock formations offering Capri's most stylish and best-located bathing. With no sand in sight, guests utilize a series of man-made outcroppings arranged in canvas sun loungers and whimsical staircase that leads directly to the sea.

The Food

In previous years, Da Luigi ai Faraglioni was not known to have the best beach club food on the island, but its latest revamp and stunning location offers new chef and youthful assortment of sexy Italians that more than any discrepancies. Lunchtime offers a top-notch selection of grilled seafood and intricate pastas including spaghetti with sea urchin or shrimp scialatielli followed by family-style presentations of handpicked fresh-caught fish. Beach club visitors also have use of a small café and bar with lighter, more-casual ala carte options available throughout the day.
